What does Bicycle Queensland do?

BQ is a non-profit community and advocacy group working to make cycling safer.
We meet regularly with politicians and planners to persuade them to improve cycling facilities in Queensland, Australia.
BQ also advises government engineers on suitable designs for cycling facilities.
BQ supports programs that promote cycling and make cycling more accessible to potential cyclists.
BQ encourages and supports local groups lobbying for better cycling conditions in their area.
Bicycle Queensland stands up for cycling in Government, media and community circles.

Bicycle Queensland Events

Bicycle Queensland and the Bigger Cycling Picture

BQ is a member organisation of the Bicycle Coalition, along with Bicycle Victoria, Bicycle NSW and Bicycle South Australia. The Coalition represents almost 100,000 members from the peak cycling advocacy organisation of these respective states. The Coalition is working to ensure a federal commitment to cycling and promotion of cycling in National campaigns such as Ride 2 Work day and Ride 2 School programs.

BQ is also a bronze level supporter of the Bicycle Federation of Australia.
