Volunteer

Bicycle Queensland is a not-for-profit self funded organisation whose aim is to increase cycling participation and achieve better conditions for cyclists. Bike Week takes an enormous effort to organise and simply can not be done without the help of a large team of volunteers.

What you get. We provide you with a free T-shirt, food, drink and insurance cover. Of course you also get to be a part of this great event and the great sense of achievement.

Who can volunteer?Anybody who wants to help.  People dedicated to cycling, family or friends of riders with all or part of a day available, and corporate work groups wanting to contribute. The biggest need is for volunteers on Sunday 21 March, for the BDO Brisbane Coot-tha Challenge and Great Brisbane Bike Ride. You could be a marshal, or a rest-stop helper, or work on the merchandise table, or take one of the more specialised roles such as sign crew or site set-up.

What positions are available? There are roles from as little as 4 hours duration to all day, from customer service to equipment setup, from active to passive, from part of a large team to taking responsibility. Children under 16 may be accepted if with an adult.  Download the Volunteer Position Description booklet to find out about the roles.

How do I register?  If you are interested in Volunteering you can register your interest online by completing the registration form indicating your preferred position and available times.
