What's your earliest cycling memory?

I grew up on a farm near Dunedoo NSW and we only had one bicycle between the five of us: the ‘farm bike’ which colour I can only identify as ‘rusty’. For the tires Dad just used old weathered garden hose! Lots of fun but must admit it was a pretty bumpy ride. You could leave it anywhere and be guaranteed it would still be there in a month’s time...with an additional spider or two.

My first bike was...

A ladies pink ten-speed with white wall tyres. Just a stunning girls bike.

What do you do to relax?

I like to go MTB riding (my backyard Daisy Hill), surfing, camping, golf basically anything active and fun.

What's most memorable sight you've seen from a bike?

My three months of riding in Whistler, Canada, especially cruising down A-line and doing the second GLC drop! And riding past a black bear with her cubs on the side of the trails - just magic.

If you could give one piece of advice to a new rider, what would it be?

The big gear lever is your friend when it comes to hill climbing.

Road bike, mountain bike or tourer?

Road bike for the longer rides to work and the MTB for the weekend fun!

What's the best thing about your job?

Working on Queensland’s largest bike riding events to achieve more people cycling more often.

If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be?

For more people to be more active and enjoy the simple things in life like family, friends and lots of laughter.
