What's your earliest cycling memory?
My brother and I riding two tricycles on the footpath outside our new home in Australia (that’s some 36 years ago now).
My first bike was...
A pink one which I received for Christmas when I was about 7 or 8. It think it was a Malvern Star and it had white tyres, tassles on the handlebars and spokey dokeys.
What do you do to relax?
Pottering around the house and spending some time with my son, he likes to draw or paint so we usually end up with paint all over the place.
What's the most memorable sight you've seen from a bike?
Hundreds of riders flocking into Caloundra to browse the rest day town on Cycle Queensland 2003.
If you could give one piece of advice to a new rider, what would it be?
Enjoy the time riding, take a route that you would like, not necessarily the shortest way home and think about joining Bicycle Queensland – we provide great member benefits including insurance.
Road bike, mountain bike or tourer?
None of the above. I have a folding bike in the form of a lime green birdy.
What's the best thing about your job?
Being able to deal with all of our lovely members of which there are now over 11,000 and also being part of a great organisation that helps to promote healthy lifestyles.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be?
To give everyone a little more time to enjoy the good things in life and to give back to their community.
