Ben Wilson

General Manager
What's your earliest cycling memory?
Belting along Sir Fred Schonell Drive - then a quiet road with dirt shoulders and called St Lucia Road - with my brothers and a home made trailer with our cricket gear and dog.
My first bike was...
A second hand general bike (forgotten the brand) with 3 speed sturmey archer gears, costing $27 of my own money from the bike shop at the Taringa fiveways circa 1970.
What do you do to relax?
Read anything, watch sport and kids and surf.
What's most memorable sight you've seen from a bike?
Riding through the valleys of Wales - equal with riding to the Grand Canyon edge.
If you could give one piece of advice to a new rider, what would it be?
Take your time, it easy around traffic and enjoy the journey.
Road bike, mountain bike or tourer?
A road bike and a relic MTB for commuting.
What's the best thing about your job?
Seeing more people cycling - having a coffee on a street corner and watching many and varied people go past on bikes.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be?
Free patience pills.
